REVIEWS:

This has got to be my favorite single from 2012 The Acyd Raindrop Umbrella.. Groovy pop/psych on clear polycarbonate vinyl. A limited edition of only 25 on the Smashed Record label SMA-147

Paul, Blastmatic (UK)

After their brilliant debut 7"ep "I see through my own tyme" on Smashed Records, our fave garage psychedelic band from Australia, The Mynd Gardeners (featuring members of bands like Dust Collection, The Verge and Garden Path), strikes back with a new 7"ep on the same label. "The Acyd Raindrop Umbrella" 7"ep presenting four amazing songs, starting with the sitar driven psychedelic jem "Where tomorrow lands", to follow the upbeat stomp "Destroyed" inspired from the original 60's sound of London bands like The Kinks & Creation (a song that also remind me a lot of another great band from UK in the 90's, The Aardvarks)! B-side opens with the amazing paisley song "Winter's dying" with great melodic rhythm, hip vocals and some fine guitar riffs, to follow the mystic psychedelic tunes of "Twisted mystic" a wonderful mynd blowing song! "The Acyd Raindrop Umbrella" 7"ep is an ultra limited edition of 25 hand numbered clear vinyls, so don't waste your tyme and grab your copy before it's too late..

The Mynd Gardeners is a new band hailing from Australia (featuring the ex-Garden Path, Rohan Belton), influenced by various 60’s garage-psychedelic bands, as well by Plasticland, Rain Parade etc. After their first killer 7” EP, plus a download single, their brand new stuff is just awesome!!! I’m pretty sure that you’ll dig “Where Tomorrow Lands”, plus “Destroyed”, while the B-side including “Winter’s Dying” a brilliant garage-psych track that will blow your mind & “Twisted Mystic” spiritualised by John & Glen (Plasticland’s cerebrums!!!). This ultra-fab piece of wax comes in a very LTD edition of only 25 hand-numbered copies, soon to be very rare, and probably will be trapped in the time-tunnel as well!!!
